Bhim Rawal, who had been leading the Matribhumi Jagaran Abhiyan after the CPN-UML took action against him, stripping him of even ordinary membership, has joined the Nepali Communist Party.
A ceremony was held at the City Hall in Kathmandu on Wednesday to announce the unification between the Nepali Communist Party and Rawal’s Matribhumi Jagaran Abhiyan.
Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, and leaders Jhala Nath Khanal, Bamdev Gautam, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, among others, took part in the unification ceremony.
Coordinator Dahal and Rawal have reached a seven-point agreement. The agreement has also been signed by Co-coordinator Nepal, along with both leaders.
It has been agreed that Rawal will be the sixth-ranking leader in the Nepali Communist Party.
