Police open fire in Gaushala, Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Sept 9

Police have opened fire in Gaushala, Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The firing took place Tuesday afternoon in front of the Gaushala Police Circle during a protest.

According to Gaushala Police, the station was vandalized and stones were thrown at it. A police officer from the station confirmed that police opened fire in response.

"There was shooting here. Police opened fire after the police circle was vandalized and pelted with stones," the officer said.
