Nepal and Vietnam held a bilateral meeting at Hotel Yak & Yeti on Durbar Marg, Kathmandu, on Sunday.
Vice-president Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav and his Vietnamese counterpart Vo Thi Anh Xuan led their respective delegations, which included senior government officials from both sides, during the bilateral meeting.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions covered a wide range of issues, including promoting trade and tourism, fostering high-level exchange of visits, exploring the possibility of establishing air connectivity between Nepal and Vietnam, and strengthening cooperation in regional and multilateral forums, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
The bilateral meeting followed a courtesy meeting between the vice-presidents of the two countries.
Vietnamese Vice-president Xuan arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Nepal.
She will also hold talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.
