The CPN (Unified Socialist) and the CPN Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan have announced their unification.
The unification of the two parties was announced at the Rastriya Sabha Griha in Kathmandu on Friday.
Following the announcement, Bamdev Gautam, the chairman of the Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan, exchanged embraces with Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Respected Leader Jhalanath Khanal, and General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal.
During the event, both Nepal and Gautam welcomed the central committee members of the Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan.
Speaking at the unification ceremony, Gautam said that the efforts for unification with the Unified Socialist had succeeded after four years.
He expressed that he was so overjoyed at the unification announcement that words could not fully describe his feelings, a sentiment reflected in the embraces he shared with the leaders.
It has been decided that Gautam will be given the responsibility of senior leader in the Unified Socialist.
