CPN lawmaker Ghanashyam Bhusal has stated that the budget should be prepared targeting the marginalized class.
Taking part in the pre-budget discussion at the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday, Bhusal said the budget should be prepared by keeping the marginalized class that earns their daily bread by working. "Budget should be prepared by looking at the marginalized class that does not have regular jobs and have to earn a living by carrying bricks and doing other menial tasks," he said. "We must take those involved in traditional agriculture into enterprise."
He added that the budget should be focused on youths who have gone abroad for work and over 400,000 inside Nepal stuck in traditional agriculture. "If a socialist budget gives jobs for 400,000 persons, that will create national capital. We would already have controlled the crony capitalists if the marginalized class is uplifted."
He pointed that the crony capitalists have captured mines, rivers, political parties, and judiciary, and have become all powerful by milking public property. "We have to transform the crony economy. Employment is necessary for transformation," he opined.
