The Birgunj Office of Avenues Television has been vandalized on Monday. A few men in black masks arrived when the staffers were working and vandalized at the office. "We were working. A few men wearing black masks arrived at around 12:30 in the afternoon and vandalized the office. They smashed the glass and tore the banner," Avenues journalist in Birgunj Muskan Shrestha told Setopati. "They did not say who they are and why they vandalized our office. I suspect they may be cadres of Socialist Party Nepal." The television channel had telecast a live interview with Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Socialist Party Upendra Yadav Sunday night. Yadav had left the studio taking the microphone off after altercation with the host. Avenues has claimed that cadres of Socialist Party have vandalized the office in rage after a video clip of the interview became viral on the social media.
