President expected to arrive in Baglung today

President Bidya Devi Bhandari is expected to arrive in Baglung Monday. She is arriving here in connection with handing over a new building to the school management committee, said Guru Datta Pathak, Ward chair of Baglung municipality-12. The school building was commissioned by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the chairman of the renowned IME Group and his younger brother Hemraj Dhakal as tribute to their late father, Hiranya Prasad Dhakal. The late Dhakal was a known philanthropist in Baglung. The President will hand over the school building to the Prithvi Hiranya Secondary School amidst a program Monday at Amalachaur, Baglung municipality-12. The 14-room school block and other structures like the school compound wall, playground and toilets, were constructed at a cost of around Rs 62.4 million, said Prem Prasad Chapagain, the school head teacher.
