Member of the chairman council of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP) Rajendra Mahato has accused Naya Shakti Party Nepal and Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) of pushing back formation of an alternative political force.
"We were ready after Baburam Bhattarai urged us to form an alternative political force. But they did not agree to wait for some time," Mahata told Setopati expressing sadness. "They have gone for unification in installments. We have nothing to say now."
Convenor of Naya Shakti Bhattarai, FSFN Chairman Upendra Yadav and Mahantha Thakur, Mahato and Sharat Singh Bhandari of RJP chairman council had discussed unification at the Naya Shakti central office on Saturday.
RJP leaders had urged the other two parties to wait for some time for unification of the three parties. But the meeting between Naya Shakti and FSFN held after RJP leaders left finalized unification of the two parties.
FSFN and Naya Shakti will announce unification on Monday. They have agreed to name the unified party Socialist Party Nepal.
