Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has admitted that development has not gained pace as per government's expectation.
Laying foundation stone for the Manohara-Nilbarahi to Changu-Telkot road at Telkot of Nagarkot Sunday, Communications Minister Banskota said that the government would move ahead by resolving the problems as difficulties were surfaced in the development construction.
On a different note, he said that operation of railway in Nepal has now been confirmed as was included in the BRI project.
The Minister said, "We will bring to book the contractors who unnecessarily delayed reconstruction activities and used low quality construction materials."
Similarly, Changunarayan municipality mayor Som Prasad Mishra shared the information that the 13-km road would be constructed at Rs 272 million investment of Province-3 government. The construction of the road would be completed within 18 months.
Meanwhile, Nagarkot Road Struggle Committee submitted a memorandum to Minister Banskota, drawing attention to complete the construction work of 20-km Bhaktekopati-Telkot-Nagarkot soon.
Committee Coordinator Raj Kumar Lamichhane said that they submitted the memorandum to the Spokesperson of the government, demanding the immediate completion of the construction of the road section started seven years ago.
