The government has recalled Nepali Ambassador to Qatar Ramesh Prasad Koirala.
Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota revealed that the Cabinet decided to recall Koirala during the weekly press briefing on Thursday. But he did not reveal the reason to recall Koirala.
"The government deemed the necessity to recall him and did so," Baskota said casually. "We recalled as we felt like that. We have done that earlier as well." He asked the reporters why they need reasons instead of giving them.
Koirala was appointed by the then Sher Bahadur Deuba government.
A conflict of interest complaint was registered against Koirala during the parliamentary hearing arguing that he has sent Nepali workers to the country where he was to be appointed.
