President Bidya Devi Bhandari visited the Da Ci'en Temple here Thursday morning.
Upon arrival at the temple premises, the President was welcomed by local authorities, who also briefed her about the temple.
Located in the southern suburb of Xi'an City, about 4 kilometers from the downtown of the city, the Da Ci'en Temple is a major attraction for its fame in the Buddhist religion and its simple but appealing style of construction.
It was originally built in 652 AD during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty.
On the occasion, President Bhandari signed the visitor's book.
She was accompanied by Foreign Minister Pradip Kumar Gyawali, Chief Minister of Province no. 3 Dormani Poudel, Nepali Ambassador to China Leela Mani Paudyal, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi, and other members of the President's entourage.
President Bhandari is currently on a nine-day state visit of China, including to attend the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to be held in Beijing, the capital of China.
