Vice President designated to perform President’s functions

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has assigned Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun to carry out the functions performed by the President, during her absence in accordance with the article 67(2) of the constitution, the Office of the President stated. The President left for a nine-day state visit to the People's Republic of China Wednesday at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.
