Holidays declared by provincial govt to be implemented across province

All offices in the provinces will be closed during public holidays declared by the respective provincial governments. The Cabinet meeting has decided that even the offices under the central government in the province will be closed during the holidays declared by the provincial government. Organizing a press conference to inform about the Cabinet decision on Thursday, Communication and Information Technology Minister Gokul Prasad Baskota said that in case of Kathmandu Valley public holidays declared by Province 3 will be implemented as per the Home Ministry's decision taken on the day of holiday. Earlier, Chief District Officers defied holidays given by the provincial governments and offices under the central government remained open.
