The Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies (NAFEA) has provided Rs 15 million in assistance for the relief and support of citizens affected by the Bhotekoshi flood.
The amount, collected through the association’s fundraising efforts, has been deposited in the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
The association handed over the collected Rs 15 million to the Government of Nepal through Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle.
According to NAFEA Vice-president Anil Bogati, the amount was raised from foreign employment entrepreneurs, employers based abroad, and other contributors.
“The fund was collected on the association’s initiative with the aim of providing immediate relief and support to citizens affected by the flood. We expect that this will provide at least some support to the government,” he said.
The association expressed its gratitude to all foreign employment entrepreneurs and well-wishers who joined hands to provide assistance with a spirit of humanitarian service during this tragic time of disaster.
It also pledged to continue its support, assistance, and solidarity with citizens affected by the flood in the days ahead.
