Police have conducted a search at the office of Jana Aastha Weekly.
A team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, searched the Jana Aastha office in Sanepa early Thursday morning.
According to Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson for the District Police Range, police collected computers, mobile phones, and other equipment from the office.
“It is yet to be determined how many devices were collected. Equipment from his office, related to him, and connected to this case have been collected,” SP Thapa told Setopati.
A Jana Aastha journalist said that some police personnel entered the office and took away CPUs and documents.
Journalist Kishor Shrestha, who is also the chairman of Aastha Media and editor of Jana Aastha Weekly, was arrested by police from Nakkhu on Wednesday evening.
SP Thapa said that Shrestha was arrested after a woman filed a complaint alleging a violation of personal privacy.
