Squatters demand compensation and rehabilitation (Pictures)

The United National Squatters Front Nepal held a protest at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Thursday.

The front organized the demonstration demanding that the proper rehabilitation and compensation be ensured for landless squatters and informal settlers displaced by government actions.

Protesters carried placards with slogans such as “We don’t want Balen government; stop using bulldozers,” “Stop forced evictions, stop bulldozer terror,” and “Deliver justice, not bulldozers.”
