Jeep accident on Bhimphedi-Kulekhani road leaves six dead

Six people have died in a road accident on the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani road section in Makawanpur.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, the accident occurred on Sunday at Jurikhet in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6, resulting in six fatalities.

“Six people have died. Their identities have yet to be confirmed,” he said.

The accident occurred as a jeep with registration number Na 1 Ja 1778, traveling from Kathmandu to Hetauda, plunged about 100 meters off the road into a ravine at Jurikhet.

Nine people who were traveling in the vehicle were rescued and taken to Hetauda Hospital. Six of them died.
