Students of Padma Kanya College staged a protest on Friday demanding justice for Prisha Sah, the Nepali female student who was found dead at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India.
Led by the Free Students’ Union, students of the college held a protest on Friday morning.
Many participants wore black masks as a mark of protest against the incident. They also carried placards that read “We want justice”, “Justice for Prisha Sah”, “No more silence, speak up”, among others.
Th students demanded a thorough investigation into Sah’s death and action against those responsible.
Sah, a resident of Birgunj in Parsa, was found dead in her hostel room on Thursday night. She was pursuing a Btech degree at KIIT.
This is the second death of a Nepali student at the university.
On February 16, another Nepali student, Prakriti Lamsal, was also found dead in her hostel room.
