Voting is underway on Friday at the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress.
Polling is taking place at the polling stations set up at Khula Manch and the Rastriya Sabha Griha at Exhibition Road, Kathmandu. Voting will continue until 3 p.m. Friday.
General convention representatives from Bagmati province are casting their votes at the Rastriya Sabha Griha, while representatives from the other provinces, overseas chapters, sister organizations, and affiliated organizations are voting at Khula Manch.
Elections are being held for the posts of party president, vice-presidents, general secretaries, joint general secretaries, and central members. The senior vice-president and the woman vice-president have already been elected unopposed, while the treasurer will be nominated by the party president later.
Each voter takes approximately half an hour to cast their vote, as they are required to vote using 23 ballot papers.
