The Ujyaalo Nepal Party is being formally launched on Wednesday.
An event is underway at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, where the party’s launch will be announced in the presence of Energy Minister Kulman Ghising.
The party's vision, core objectives, and detailed manifesto are scheduled to be formally made public at the event.
The Ujyaalo Nepal Party has already been registered with the Election Commission. However, Ghising does not hold any official position in the party.
It is reported that he is not part of the party's official structure as he is currently serving as a minister in the interim government led by Sushila Karki.
Former House of Representatives member Sumana Shrestha is also present at the event. She reached the venue while the event was underway.
She is seated in the same row on the stage as Minister Ghising.
It remains unclear whether Shrestha has joined the Ujyaalo Nepal Party or if she attended the event merely to extend her best wishes.
After leaving the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Shrestha had been involved in the party formation process alongside Ghising until recently, but later extended her best wishes to him to move forward.
