Security tightened at Bhrikuti Mandap (Pictures)

Security has been tightened in the Bhrikuti Mandap and Ratna Park areas of Kathmandu since Thursday morning in view of the CPN-UML’s scheduled event and the demonstration announced by royalists.

A large number of security personnel have been deployed in the areas. Drone surveillance will also be carried out for monitoring the security situation in those areas.

The UML is organizing an event at Bhrikuti Mandap at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, while the demonstration by royalists, including the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), is set to take place in the Ratna Park area later in the afternoon. The administration has designated a time slot for their demonstration after 2:30 p.m.
