Students dissatisfied with the Grade 12 examination results staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The students took to the streets, alleging errors in the result publication and answer sheet evaluation processes, discrepancies between their actual performance and the marks awarded, and the lack of effective provisions for re-evaluation and re-totaling.
The protesters demanded the implementation of a transparent and reliable evaluation system, arrangements for rechecking answer sheets, and the establishment of an effective mechanism to address grievances related to examination results.
They argued that since the current system directly affects students' future, the relevant authorities must take the issue seriously.
Gathering at Maitighar Mandala, the students held placards and chanted slogans to draw the attention of the National Examinations Board.
The students warned that they would continue their protest programs until their demands are addressed.
