Students and teachers of Pulchowk Campus under the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, staged a protest outside the office of the university’s vice-chancellor on Sunday.

The students and teachers surrounded and protested at the Office of the Vice-chancellor, demanding the institute’s autonomy and the resumption of classes.

Teachers began their agitation on July 3, while academic activities have been halted since July 9.

Teachers at the engineering college have been protesting since 2023. This time, however, they have completely shut down academic activities.

The protesting teachers and students demand the revocation of any interference in the institute’s financial, academic, and administrative autonomy.
