Newly-elected members of the National Assembly took the oath of office on Monday.
National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal administered the oath to the new members in the hall of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee at Singha Durbar.
On January 25, elections were held for 18 seats in the National Assembly that were set to become vacant.
Roshani Meche, Somnath Portel, and Sunil Bahadur Thapa were elected from Koshi province, while Rekha Kumari Jha, Dharmendra Paswan, Ranjit Karn, and Mahantha Thakur were elected from Madhesh province.
Similarly, Geeta Devkota and Prem Prasad Dangal from Bagmati province, Jagat Timilsina and Samjhana Devkota from Gandaki province, and Ram Kumari Jhankri, Chandra Bahadur KC, and Basudev Ghimire were elected to the National Assembly.
The other elected members included Mina Singh Rakhal and Lalit Jung Shahi from Karnali province, and Leela Kumari Bhandari and Khamma Bahadur Khati from Sudur Paschim province.
