Nepali Congress workers demanding a special general convention staged a protest in front of the party’s central office in Sanepa on Tuesday.
They protested against the party’s acting president, Purna Bahadur Khadka, accusing him of preventing party workers from entering the central office.
The protestors stopped party leaders at the gate as they arrived to attend the central working committee meeting and urged them to move toward holding a special general convention.
A large number of police personnel have also been deployed at the Nepali Congress central office.
