The central committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) began on Thursday noon at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
During the meeting, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal presented various proposals regarding the current political situation and the party's future strategy.
These proposals will be discussed in groups. The conclusions from the group discussions will be presented in the plenary session, and Dahal will respond to them.
In particular, following the Gen Z movement of September 8 and 9 and the situation that developed after that, the Maoist Center is preparing to hold a special general convention in November.
This decision, made by the office-bearers' meeting, has been proposed for discussion in the central committee.
Once approved by the central committee, the decision will gain formality.
An entry fee of 1,000 has been set for central committee members.
The Maoist Center's central committee consists of 408 members.
