Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has congratulated newly appointed PM Sushila Karki.

Modi congratulated Karki on social media platform X on Saturday for taking charge as the head of the interim government.

"Hearty congratulations to Honorable Sushila Karki on assuming the post of Prime Minister of Nepal's interim government," he wrote, "India is fully committed to the peace, progress, and prosperity of the brothers and sisters of Nepal."
