UML organizes parade on Republic Day (Pictures)

The CPN-UML organized a procession with cultural displays on the occasion of Republic Day on Thursday.

The UML celebrated Republic Day mobilizing all three district committees, 15 electoral constituencies, people's organizations, and liaison coordination committees in the Kathmandu Valley.

Cadres and supporters of the UML gathered at Bhrikuti Mandap and marched around Tundikhel.

The procession continued around Ratna Park until 2 p.m., after which the administration plans to allow royalists to hold their demonstration.

UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, Secretaries Padma Aryal and Yogesh Bhattarai, publicity department chief Rajendra Gautam, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, and other leaders took part in the procession.

The event concluded with a corner meeting at Bhrikuti Mandap.
