Police have made public three individuals arrested with approximately 21 kilograms of gold.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office presented them at a press conference held on Friday afternoon.
The arrested Chinese nationals have been identified as Han Fei, 27; Wang Jianzheng, 37; and Zhou Longqin, 47.
A team deployed by the Crime Investigation Office arrested them from a house in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.
Police seized a total of 21.75 kilograms of gold, in both solid and semi-solid forms, from the house.
The three had rented the house and turned into a gold-processing facility.
Police also discovered machines used to melt gold inside the house.
A total of 10.997 kilograms of gold, prepared in 11 pieces, was seized.
Police also recovered 10.752 kilograms of semi-solid gold, which had been stored in plastic packaging.
The total quantity of gold seized in both forms amounted to 21.750 kilograms.
