Acrow bridge comes into operation at Nuwakot’s Devighat (Pictures)

An Acrow bridge has come into operation over the Tadi River at Devighat in Nuwakot.

The Nepal Army constructed the Acrow bridge in five days after the existing concrete bridge was swept away by flood in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

The bridge came into operation from Thursday evening.

The army completed the 57.9-meter-long Acrow bridge in just five days.

All types of vehicles have been allowed to use the bridge since Thursday evening.

Lieutenant General Ranjit Thapa said that the Nepal Army worked around the clock and completed the Acrow bridge at Devighat within a 72-hour working period.

“As this is an important bridge connecting Bidur of Nuwakot with Galchhi, 55 technical personnel worked day and night to complete the project,” he said.

Construction of the bridge at Devighat began on September 5.
