A section of road near Nagdhunga has caved in.
According to the Department of Roads, the road subsided in the Patale Ban area near Nagdhunga.
The road gave way after a retaining wall along its edge collapsed.
Following the road collapse, traffic in the area has been restricted to one-way movement.
Only vehicles carrying petroleum products and two-wheelers have been allowed to operate on this stretch of road.
Other vehicles heading toward Kathmandu are being diverted through the tunnel route.
