Kathmandu Metropolitan City's municipal police have resumed their regular duties.
After returning to work, the municipal police launched a campaign to remove vehicles parked haphazardly in the New Road area.
KMC Police said that their teams are actively working to facilitate traffic management by removing motorcycles, cars, and other vehicles parked in a disorganized manner on roads and footpaths.
The KMC has urged drivers to park only in designated areas, warning that vehicles will be removed and action will be taken according to the law if the rules are violated.
On Thursday, Ganesh Nepal set himself on fire following a dispute over municipal police placing a wheel lock on his motorcycle outside the Department of Passports in Tripureshwar. He died on Friday while undergoing treatment.
Following Nepali's death, municipal police had not been seen on the streets.
