The suspicious vehicle parked in front of Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa’s residence has been removed with the help of a crane.
The vehicle has been taken to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office in Baggikhana. It has been identified as belonging to Kumar Prasad Aryal.
The car had been parked outside Thapa's residence since Monday morning, disrupting movement in the neighborhood.
Local residents claimed that the driver was seen leaving in a police vehicle after parking the car there.
Earlier on Monday, similar suspicious vehicles were parked in front of the offices of media houses, including Kantipur Publications and Onlinekhabar. The vehicles were parked around 7:30 a.m. in a manner that obstructed the entrances of both media houses.
At Kantipur Publications' office in Tinkune, the parked vehicle hindered journalists and staff from entering and leaving the premises with their vehicles.
The vehicles have since been removed with the help of cranes.
