Dawa Sherpa (Hilary), a tourism worker who had been missing for six days in the Everest Base Camp region, has been found alive.
He was rescued by helicopter and brought to Kathmandu for further treatment.
Sherpa, who was rescued from the Khumbu Icefall area, was flown to HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu after preliminary medical treatment.
He was found with his hands and feet affected by the snow (frostbite).
