The BP Highway, which had been blocked since Saturday evening, has now reopened.
The highway was obstructed after flooding in the Roshi River washed away diversions at various locations. It took three days to repair the damaged sections.
According to the Road Division Office, vehicular movement resumed at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
Floodwaters had swept away diversions in Chauki Danda, Ghumaune, Charsaya Besi, Gimdi Besi, Narke, Chiuribas, Boksikuna, Kaldhunga, Dala Besi, Buldhunga, Mamti, as well as Aanpghari and Nepalthok in Sindhuli.
The damaged diversions were repaired through coordination between the Road Division Office and the contractor company, allowing traffic to resume.
For now, vehicles are operating via temporary diversions constructed along the banks of the Roshi River.
