Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah’s father cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat (Pictures)

The father of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has been cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu.

His father, Ram Narayan Shah, passed away on Monday afternoon.

Ram Narayan, who had been ill, was undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital in New Baneshwar. He had been taken to the hospital on Sunday. The 77-year-old passed away during treatment on Monday afternoon.

Ram Narayan had developed a urinary infection, which had spread throughout his body. There were also complications affecting his brain.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, and one daughter. He was an Ayurvedic doctor.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Energy, and Urban Development Kulman Ghising also attended the last rites.
