The Nepal Army has imposed prohibitory orders and curfew across the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.
The army has issued a prohibitory order from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m in the Kathmandu Valley. Similarly, a curfew is in effect from 7 p.m. until Friday morning.
Troops have been deployed on the streets to enforce the prohibitory orders and curfew.
Meanwhile, New Road, the country's main commercial hub, remains closed.
This is typically a peak time for business as Dashain approaches. However, the Gen Z protests and subsequent events have brought the country to a standstill. New Road has been particularly affected by this.
