Expressing dissatisfaction over some provisions of the School Education Bill, private school operators continued their protests on Friday.
The umbrella organizations of private and boarding schools in Nepal, PABSON and National PABSAN, launched their agitation against the bill on Thursday.
On the first day of the protests, school operators gathered at Maitighar and marched to New Baneshwar. They then returned to Maitighar and held a corner meeting.
The protest on Friday involved bringing school buses to the streets across the country. Accordingly, buses of various schools were parked along the edges of Kathmandu's Ring Road.
School vehicles were lined up at various intersections along the Ring Road.
On Friday afternoon, the protesting private school operators gathered at Maitighar Mandala before picketing and staging a sit-in at the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee and the Federal Parliament.
