National Paddy Day marked at Khumaltar (Pictures)

National Paddy Day is being celebrated across the country on Sunday with various events.

The federal, provincial, and local governments have organized paddy plantation events to mark the day.

The Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) also organized paddy plantation at Khumaltar.

Agriculture Minister Ramnath Adhikari also participated and planted paddy during the event.

The paddy planting was accompanied by traditional music and dance.

The government has been celebrating National Paddy Day every year on the 15th of Ashadh since 2005.
