The throne of the then King Srinivas Malla has been placed in front of the Krishna Temple at Patan Durbar Square for public viewing on the occasion of Jya Punhi on Wednesday.
Every year on this day, the royal throne of Srinivas is brought out from the museum located in Mangal Bazar, Patan, and placed in front of the Krishna Temple for public viewing.
This is also the only day of the year when 32 hymns composed by King Siddhi Narasimha Malla are displayed publicly. The hymns are also sung collectively on the occasion.
