Blacktopping on the Gwarko Flyover in Lalitpur began on Thursday.
Construction of the flyover structure, which began on December 02, 2022, was completed a few days ago.
Currently, the blacktopping is being carried out on the section toward Koteshwar.
The construction company said that preparations are in place to complete the blacktopping on the Satdobato-facing section by Thursday night if there is no rainfall.
It also said that if the remaining work proceeds without disruption, the flyover will come into operation from the month of Jestha (May-June) itself.
Earlier, some sections of the Gwarko Flyover were demolished and reconstructed when 82 percent of the construction work had been completed.
The 455-meter-long flyover will have a ground clearance of 6 meters. Additionally, ramps of 180-meter length on the right and 110 meters on the left will be constructed for vehicles to access the flyover.
The construction of the flyover is being carried out by Ashish-Samanantar JV.
