Lawmakers elected under the proportional representation (PR) system in the House of Representatives election held on March 5 have received their certificates.
On Thursday, the Election Commission distributed certificates to the newly-elected PR lawmakers.
The certificate distribution ceremony was held on the commission’s premises at Bahadur Bhawan.
Commission Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut handed over the certificates to the lawmakers.
Under the proportional representation system, the Rastriya Swatantra Party secured 57 seats, the Nepali Congress won 20 seats, and the CPN-UML got 16 seats.
Similarly, the Nepali Communist Party secured 9 seats, while the Shram Sanskriti Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party won 4 seats each.
