The two-day orientation workshop organized by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for its newly-elected lawmakers has concluded.
The workshop, which began on Tuesday at the Royal Tulip Hotel in Gwarko, Lalitpur, was designed to train the newly-elected lawmakers in parliamentary practices.
On Wednesday, party President Rabi Lamichhane delivered the closing remarks at the workshop.
During his speech, Lamichhane briefed the lawmakers on what they should and should not do, emphasizing the types of activities and behaviors the party will not tolerate.
In the House of Representatives election held on March 5, the RSP secured 182 seats in total – 125 under the first-past-the-post system and 57 under the proportional representation system.
The party is now set to lead a majority government on its own.
The orientation workshop was conducted for the new lawmakers prior to the commencement of the new parliamentary session.
