The army has tightened security in the Sheetal Niwas area.
Since Thursday night, President Ram Chandra Paudel has been holding discussions with various parties regarding the formation of an interim government.
Discussions on government formation are ongoing after Gen Z representatives proposed former chief justice Sushila Karki as the head of the interim government,.
President Paudel is also holding discussions with leaders and representatives of major political parties.
Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa, in a video message released on Friday, stated that the NC is continuously engaged in discussions and initiatives for government formation in accordance with the Constitution.
Sheetal Niwas, the President's Office, also came under arson attack during the Gen Z protests on Wednesday. However, it has not been completely damaged.
The army has stepped up security in the area after the president began discussions and dialogues from Sheetal Niwas itself.
There is a heavy presence of army personnel at the main gate of Sheetal Niwas and on its premises. Army personnel have also been deployed on the roads around the President’s Office.
Security arrangements have been comparatively tightened on the Lainchaur-Maharajgunj road.
