With this year’s Tihar only a few days away, markets are buzzing with activity as people are busy shopping for the festival.

Shops in the busy markets of Ason, Indra Chowk and New Road in Kathmandu have already started selling various items for Tihar, especially bhai masala, garlands of makhamali flower, walnuts, colors for Bhai Tika and earthen lamps.
